How many cloth diapers will I need?
The answer to this question depends on the age of your child. If you have a newborn we recommend 15-24 diapers depending on how often you would like to wash them. For babies 6-12 months we recommend 12-15 diapers. For toddlers over 1 year we recommend 10-15 diapers.

How do you wash cloth diapers?
There are many different ways to wash your cloth diapers and until recently we would give you a long list of methods to try and find the way that works best for you.

If you have a front loading wash machine, there are several things you need to know, Rockin' Green has an awesome write up including a database with instructions for specific models all of which can be found here .

One more very important thing: NEVER EVER EVER use fabric softener, plant based detergents, bleach, or a sanitize cycle on your diapers. Doing so will void your warranty on your diapers and can cause problems over time.

My diapers stink even after washing them. What do I do?

If you are using Rockin' Green and following directions carefully, this should rarely happen. If not, we recommend switching to Rockin' Green and following the directions on their bag for a soak.

Will my water bill go up?

Is wearing my baby safe?

Wearing your baby correctly is very safe and beneficial for both mom and baby when done correctly (see our Babywearing page for more information and statistics). Your baby or child should always be close enough to you that you can kiss their little head. Wearing your baby incorrectly is not safe. We are always available to help you learn to wear your baby correctly and with every baby wearing purchase you will be given paper instructions as well as links to picture and video instructions. You alone are responsible for the safety of your child.

Do you have a storefront?

At this time we do not have a storefront. Our focus is support and education. We dream of having Green Mommies in every town across the United States. It has been our experience that most moms love the flexibility of being able to meet at a local park or market with their children in tow. Not having a store at this time allows us to provide more Green Mommies across the country. We have also made a commitment to be debt free and to give a portion of our sales back to the community. Green Mommies can be found at local markets, festivals, and mom group meetings throughout the year, you can find our calendar here. We are also always available for a free consultation or workshop.

Are your events really no pressure?

YES, YES, and YES! We are really serious about this! We are moms too and we know that being a mother comes with enough pressure, the last thing we want to do is add pressure! All of our events are education focused. We want you to be able to see and try out all our products and then be able to go home do your own research, ask some questions, and decide for yourself. We never hand out order forms or press you with sales. We simply want to support you in your journey to the greener side of life!

Why don't you have a Green Mommy in my town?

We would love to have a Green Mommy in your town! The Green Mommy Campaign was launched in November of 2010 and the response was overwhelming. Shortly afterwards, we ran into some questions about sales tax in different states. We are currently working on a solution and hope to be able to take on moms across the country shortly. In the meantime we are only able to take on moms located in the state of Georgia. If you know someone who you think would be a great Green Mommy in your area please let us know!
